Board Members

Michael J. Sandler

President

Mike has lived in Navarre since 1991 and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He is married to Nancy Sandler and they have two children and three grandchildren.

Mike has served as a director and the Chairman of the Board of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.  He is a member of the Hurlburt Chiefs Group, Navarre Community Emergency Response Team Board of Directors, Santa Rosa Clean Community Navarre Coordinator, Holley Navarre Seniors Association, Santa Rosa County Library Board President, Caring and Sharing of Santa Rosa County Board of Directors, and Friends of the Navarre Library as a life member and past president.  Mike has also served on the West Florida Regional Library Board representing Santa Rosa County.  In 2015 Mike was selected to be part of BentProp, a project to search for WWII MIAs in the Pacific.

Sandra F. (Sandi) Kemp

Vice President

Sandi has lived in Navarre since 1993 when her Air Force husband was transferred to Hurlburt Field. She is the owner of Sandpaper Publishing, Inc., the parent corporation for Navarre Press, Santa Rosa Press Gazette, Crestview News Bulletin, Holley by the Sea News and Navarre Beach News. She is also the owner of Sandpaper Marketing, Inc. She is married to a very patient husband, John Kemp, and they have four adult children.

Sandi has been on the foundation board since 2008 and previously served as president for two years from 2010 – 2011. In 2012, and various leadership positions.  Sandi contributes to several area organizations in addition to the Navarre Chamber Foundation. She is a previous board member of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber, Past Chair, and current board member of the Florida Press Association and the Florida Press Foundation. She is a past chair of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Sandi is a founding member and past president of the Navarre Rotary Club, and previous director of the Navarre YMCA advisory board and Santa Rosa Education Foundation.

In Sandi’s “spare time,” she enjoys photography, reading, cooking, traveling, and cycling.

Nancy A. Sandler

Treasurer

Nancy has lived in Navarre since 1991 and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2000 as a Chief Master Sergeant. Since moving to Navarre, she has been an active volunteer with many community organizations including Friends of Navarre Library, Impact 100 Pensacola Bay Area, Santa Rosa Clean Community System, Caring and Sharing of South Santa Rosa County, Navarre Relay for Life, and Holley Navarre Seniors Association. She has been a member of the Navarre Chamber Foundation Board of Directors since 2010.

Andrew C. (Andy) Epstein

Secretary

Andy has lived in Navarre since 2003.  He grew up in Fort Walton Beach, and graduated from Choctawhatchee High School, then Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, with a BS in Industrial Management.  He works for Mohawk Industries, the world’s largest flooring manufacturer, as a Hard Surfaces Territory Manager.  He is an Individual Member of the NBACC, and an active member of the Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary Committee.  Run For The Reef, Navarre Chamber Thursday’s In The Park committee, Fun Fest, the Jingle Bell Fun Run, and monthly Trash Bash Beach Cleanups are some of his local volunteer efforts.  He is married to Judy, and his son Austin is a Senior at Navarre High School.

Kent Vancil

Board Member

Kent has lived in the Greater Gulf Breeze and Navarre area since 1990. Kent and his wife Jennifer have four boys. They are lifelong residents of Northwest Florida growing up along the Gulf Coast waters since birth. He is a telecom industry veteran, and currently works for Bit-Wizards. He is an active Navarre Chamber of Commerce member and currently serves on the board of directors. Kent also volunteers with his local church and serves on the Gulf Coast Crimestoppers Board of Directors. He enjoys the outdoors including snorkeling, fishing, hiking, and camping along the Gulf Coast.

Frankie W. Gibbs

Board Member

Frankie moved to Navarre in July 1999 while on active duty in the US Air Force and stationed at AF Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Headquarters at Hurlburt Field. He retired from active duty as a Lt Colonel and remained in the area. After a long career in the USAF, Frankie worked as a Program Manager at AFSOC Headquarters, Hurlburt Field. He then went to work for Boeing Cooperation as a Project Lead and Project Manager.

Frankie serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanities, Okaloosa County, and a Director and a past Chairman. He has served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Navarre Area Chamber of Commerce. Frankie has been a part of the Pink Pirates of Navarre, a non-profit, Breast Cancer Awareness group where he and been a long-time Board Member and currently serves as the group’s President. Frankie previously served on the Alexandria, Louisiana Zoo Board of Directors. He is the committee chairman for a few committee projects through the Navarre Chamber of Commerce including, Christmas in the Park, Shamrock Stroll 5K, and the Navarre Centennial Committee. He is an active supporter of numerous non-profit organizations in the area. He is also a licensed Realtor.
